Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global payroll team.
  • Set strategic goals and objectives for the payroll function in alignment with business needs.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate across functions to support payroll operations.
  • Oversee end-to-end processing of complex multi-state and international payrolls.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll laws, tax returns, W-2s, and equivalent documentation.
  • Monitor global payroll law changes and update systems and processes accordingly.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of payroll systems.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline processes and improve employee experience.
  • Drive special payroll projects such as system migrations, new country expansions, and M&A integrations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for complex payroll inquiries from leaders, employees, and managers.
  • Resolve escalated payroll issues accurately and professionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant advanced certification is a bonus.
  • 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience in a SaaS or high-growth global technology company is preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing major global payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, ADP Global Payroll, Workday Payroll, or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing international payroll operations across multiple countries.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, local, and international payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of building, managing, and developing a high-performing payroll team.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is highly preferred; Global Payroll Management Certificate (GPMI) is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Experience with AI or willingness to assess and leverage AI as applicable.
