Description

  • Consistently exceed quota and maximize booking output across assigned public sector accounts.
  • Generate pipeline by identifying growth opportunities across multiple departments and lines of business.
  • Propose, negotiate, and close volume license and capability attach deals.
  • Identify large solutions opportunities and route them to the field Account Executive.
  • Partner with aligned Account Executives to support territory and account growth strategies.
  • Articulate Smartsheet’s business, solution, and functional value propositions to validate proposed solutions.
  • Accurately forecast sales results and maintain healthy pipeline hygiene.
  • Track all sales activity in Salesforce and other required sales tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover customer needs and align stakeholders to solution scope.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software sales experience.
  • Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding quota.
  • Interest in learning, applying, and demonstrating new software technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
  • Ability to uncover customer pain points and align multiple stakeholders to business value, budget, and solution scope.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests, time demands, and priorities concurrently.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving systems, teams, processes, and products.
  • Confidence and interest in creative problem solving.
  • Strong work ethic with a team-oriented, competitive mindset.
  • Effective interaction with senior-level corporate management internally and externally.
  • Experience with value-based selling is preferred.
  • Ability to learn Salesforce, Clari, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and Tableau.
  • Hybrid work schedule within commuting distance of Boston or Bellevue, with 3 days per week in the office.
  • Eligible candidates should be comfortable working in a public sector account environment.

  • Base salary range of $65,000 to $83,750 USD.
