Description

  • Develop scalable Python-based software supporting CMS system modernization and AI-driven public-service platforms.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines and automate build, testing, and deployment workflows using Jenkins and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Build and maintain unit, integration, and regression test suites with pipeline-based quality gates and coverage analysis.
  • Containerize and deploy workloads using Docker and related technologies.
  • Investigate test failures, debug defects, update tests, and maintain reliable builds.
  • Integrate code-quality and security checks using tools such as SonarQube and Snyk.
  • Collaborate with human-centered design specialists to create intuitive, responsive, personalized solutions.
  • Develop and optimize backend components for improved responsiveness and performance.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong Python skills.
  • Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, or DevTestOps practices and automated CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience building automated tests and integrating testing, code-quality, and security checks into pipelines.
  • Ability to design scalable, maintainable pipelines integrated with testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes and REST APIs.
  • Experience working in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Lean, or SAFe.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
  • Experience with AI, NLP, LLMs, or machine-learning applications preferred.
  • Experience supporting CMS or another federal agency preferred.
  • Experience working within a FISMA boundary or supporting ATO/cATO efforts preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance; employment is subject to a background investigation.
