Description

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, mission-critical cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Conduct topology analyses and trade studies to support architectural decisions.
  • Define and maintain system and software architecture aligned with mission requirements.
  • Develop Software Design Descriptions (SDDs) and support architecture evolution through PDR/CDR design reviews.
  • Integrate cloud systems with avionics, embedded systems, and legacy platforms.
  • Develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and support system-of-systems integration.
  • Support certification efforts through documentation, validation, and evidence generation.
  • Design and implement secure DevSecOps pipelines and accredited CI/CD workflows.
  • Support verification and validation planning and execution.
  • Engage with government and regulatory stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting and developing cloud-based solutions in highly technical or aerospace environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Experience with DO-178C-compliant software development.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and secure architecture design.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with safety-critical or mission-critical systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with advanced air mobility, autonomous systems, or defense/aerospace domains (preferred).
