Description

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
  • Build and enhance cloud-based platforms and features supporting the customer experience.
  • Implement system and data monitoring to ensure business-process accuracy.
  • Lead cross-functional projects in an agile environment and contribute to planning.
  • Scope, decompose, estimate, delegate, and coordinate projects through delivery.
  • Contribute to team-wide technical and business objectives beyond assigned work.
  • Promote development standards, including idiomatic code, design patterns, and testing and quality practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teammates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering role with increasing responsibility.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, and Java.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms for high-velocity or high-volume data-intensive applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor teammates and lead with minimal direction.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience building scalable, public-facing websites, preferably in startup or early-stage environments.
  • Full-stack experience and experience acting as a tech lead for a small team preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and public-cloud production environments; Azure preferred.
  • Experience with SQL data analysis tools such as Snowflake or BigQuery, data pipelines, asynchronous processing, microservices, or distributed systems preferred.
