Description

Design and implement new game features from scratch using C++, Blueprints, and other tools.
Collaborate with designers, artists, and audio developers to iterate on and refine key game systems.
Take ownership of major systems and drive implementation tasks across varying levels of complexity.
Maintain development schedules and help keep technical work on track.
Guide technology development using modular approaches that can be reused across multiple titles.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
Offer feedback to help other engineers stay aligned with the overall game vision.

Requirements

Multiple years of professional experience with several shipped games.
Extensive experience with Unreal Engine.
Experience modifying and creating custom technology to extend Unreal Engine’s feature set.
Deep understanding of modern game development challenges and how to build technology that helps teams overcome them.
Self-motivated and self-directing, with willingness to contribute beyond direct responsibilities.
Experience providing feedback and guidance to other engineers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Legal residence in Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan, New York, Texas, Washington, or Canada for remote consideration.
Base salary range in Los Angeles: $217,000 to $246,000 annually.
