Description

  • Design and implement new game features from scratch using C++, Blueprints, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and audio developers to iterate on and refine key game systems.
  • Take ownership of major systems and drive implementation tasks across varying levels of complexity.
  • Maintain development schedules and help keep technical work on track.
  • Guide technology development using modular approaches that can be reused across multiple titles.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
  • Offer feedback to help other engineers stay aligned with the overall game vision.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of professional experience with several shipped games.
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Experience modifying and creating custom technology to extend Unreal Engine’s feature set.
  • Deep understanding of modern game development challenges and how to build technology that helps teams overcome them.
  • Self-motivated and self-directing, with willingness to contribute beyond direct responsibilities.
  • Experience providing feedback and guidance to other engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Legal residence in Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan, New York, Texas, Washington, or Canada for remote consideration.
  • Base salary range in Los Angeles: $217,000 to $246,000 annually.
