Description

  • Define and evolve product engineering practices, tooling, and shared application architecture patterns.
  • Lead technical discovery, prototyping, and architectural alignment across multiple teams.
  • Provide hands-on support to unblock teams, improve implementation quality, and resolve cross-team technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering managers and product leads to shape delivery flow, team responsibilities, and ownership boundaries.
  • Mentor and coach engineers across the organisation.
  • Contribute to long-term architectural decisions that improve modularity, resilience, and operability.
  • Facilitate architectural debate, consensus-building, and design governance.
  • Help navigate ambiguity and guide the organisation toward consolidated, high-quality delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in building, scaling, and evolving modern web applications across front-end and back-end domains.
  • Experience with technologies such as React, Golang, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and evolve architecture in complex, real-world systems.
  • Ability to build trust across teams and drive alignment without formal authority.
  • Understanding of how to balance engineering design with delivery constraints and business priorities.
  • Familiarity with enabling or platform team models and organisational scaling patterns.
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern CI/CD, observability, and quality automation practices is preferred.
  • Exposure to legacy system modernisation, refactoring, or product migration strategies is preferred.
  • Awareness of Team Topologies, Domain-Driven Design, or similar models is preferred.
