Description

  • Oversee HR compliance and provide guidance to partner brands and corporate employees.
  • Maintain HR standards, handbooks, employment documentation, I-9/E-Verify processes, postings, and reporting.
  • Manage escalated employee relations matters, complaints, investigations, unemployment claims, and employment counsel coordination.
  • Oversee benefits compliance, including ERISA, Form 5500, COBRA, ACA reporting, and benefits administration.
  • Partner with Operations and Safety on OSHA recordkeeping, training compliance, drug testing, incident documentation, and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Guide brands on construction workforce requirements, including multi-state wage and hour, overtime, prevailing wage, and certified payroll compliance.
  • Lead HR diligence and integration workstreams for acquisitions, including gap assessments, transition planning, and process implementation.
  • Standardize scalable HR policies, systems, training, communications, and change-management practices across brands.
  • Administer corporate payroll and support brand-level payroll processes, controls, system changes, and integrations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience covering employee relations, employment law compliance, policy development, training, I-9/E-Verify, and HR administration.
  • Construction industry experience supporting field-based employees is required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping and safety compliance, with experience partnering with Safety and Operations.
  • Experience managing workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and posting requirements.
  • Experience supporting HR across multiple brands, locations, or business units, preferably in a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization.
  • Ability to identify HR gaps and develop practical, scalable processes and standards.
  • Working knowledge of payroll administration and payroll compliance.
  • Strong judgment, organization, communication, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Must reside in the Eastern or Central U.S.; SHRM-CP or PHR, commercial roofing experience, M&A integration, certified payroll, HRIS/payroll platforms, benefits compliance, employment due diligence, outside counsel coordination, or a relevant bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Benefits

  • US salary range of $150,000–$175,000, based on experience, skills, and location.
