Description

  • Orchestrate analytical work across the team by converting direction from the Head of Pricing into clear workplans and task sequencing.
  • Review North American insurance pricing analyses, inputs, and program deliverables before they reach the Head of Pricing.
  • Ensure consistent methodology and standards are applied across programs and analyses.
  • Identify technical errors, inconsistent assumptions, reasoning gaps, unclear documentation, and methodological drift.
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback and drive revisions to review-ready standards.
  • Coach junior, mid-level, and senior actuaries to strengthen analytical standards, documentation discipline, and independent judgment.
  • Deliver repeatable guidance that builds team capability over time.
  • Review automated and summary outputs for reasonableness and internal consistency.
  • Partner with data and Power BI specialists when monitoring results indicate data or KPI issues, without owning data reconciliation.
  • Translate underwriting year performance into calendar-quarter financial impact and maintain a coherent cross-program narrative.

Requirements

  • FCAS credential.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial casualty insurance pricing.
  • Demonstrated ability to review, critique, and elevate actuarial analyses.
  • Comfort working across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational instincts.
  • Coaching orientation that is patient, direct, and invested in others’ analytical maturity and judgment.
  • Ability to operate as a high-impact individual contributor.
  • Experience in a pricing review or analytical oversight role (preferred).
  • Familiarity with data and Power BI workflows (preferred).
