Description

  • Process invoices, receipts, expense reports, and other routine financial transactions in line with company policies.
  • Support monthly reconciliations and financial reporting to the HQ Finance team.
  • Track project budgets, monitor variances, and flag issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Perform OFAC screening of funding recipients and manage cash distribution through mobile money or local banks.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and controls to verify that funds reach intended recipients.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including supplies, facilities, logistics, and vendor coordination.
  • Coordinate staff and visitor travel, visas, accommodation, training venues, and administrative support for meetings.
  • Support procurement and vendor management in line with organisational policies.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, HR files, timesheets, leave tracking, and local HR compliance.

Requirements

  • Strong financial administration and bookkeeping skills.
  • Experience supporting budgets and financial reporting.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A service-oriented mindset and comfort supporting diverse teams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with local teams and HQ stakeholders.
  • Experience working in international development.
  • Ethiopia-based and able to work remotely from Ethiopia.
  • Experience with local tax, statutory, and regulatory compliance (preferred).
  • Experience coordinating office operations, procurement, logistics, or HR administration (preferred).
