Description

  • Own and manage the partnerships pipeline and forecast, maintain CRM discipline, set stage definitions and exit criteria, and ensure rigorous qualification and financial risk management.
  • Lead the organisation’s largest partnership opportunities end-to-end: positioning, solution shaping, pricing, proposal leadership, negotiation, and contracting.
  • Build and manage account practices that compound value, including regular check-ins, feedback loops, clear success plans, and shared KPIs with partners.
  • Translate market signals into strategy and delivery by informing product roadmaps, pricing strategies, implementation readiness, and scalable commercial models focused on measurable coverage and data quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with product, delivery, and MEI teams to ensure commitments are deliverable and evidence is translated into compelling value propositions for partners.
  • Design and run cross-team processes to optimise win rates and shorten sales cycles, including deal reviews, post-mortems, and data-driven process improvements.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach a high-performing partnerships team; create standards, playbooks, and a healthy inclusive team culture.
  • Drive predictable, inspection-ready pipeline management with conversion benchmarks and accurate quarterly forecasting.
  • Secure and nurture strategic relationships with Ministries of Health, multilaterals, and major funders to turn partnerships into funded, implementable programs.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of partnerships, business development, or fundraising experience in global health with a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Direct engagement experience with Ministries of Health and major funders in LMICs, including familiarity with procurement, program design, and decision cycles.
  • Proven commercial rigour: pipeline qualification, forecasting, CRM discipline, and disciplined deal reviews.
  • Ability to translate program and monitoring data into evidence-based value propositions tied to coverage, accountability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Comfortable working with technical digital health products and able to explain integrations, data flows, and privacy in plain language.
  • Experience shaping pricing, proposals, negotiation, and contracting for multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Experience informing product roadmaps and scalable commercial models based on market signals and delivery constraints.
  • Optional/desired: previous M&E experience as a practitioner or direct user of programmatic data.
  • Location preference: remote candidates based in Africa or Europe with strong experience working within Africa and a deep understanding of the stakeholder landscape.
  • Note: applicants currently employed by a Ministry of Health or government agency cannot be considered.

Benefits

  • Work that delivers direct, measurable impact to millions of people globally.
  • An award-recognised, diverse team and inclusive culture (e.g., Great Place to Work, 2025 Best Workplace for Women).
  • Flexible, autonomous work culture with mutual flexibility around hours and responsibilities and a remote-friendly environment.
  • 4-day workweek option (Fridays off) to support work–life balance.
  • Unlimited annual leave subject to delivering results and fostering teamwork, with semi-annual productivity reviews.
  • Generous professional development support including access to GLG experts and an individual development budget (“Eduprints”) for training or coaching.
