Description

  • Build the next generation of SimplePractice’s practice management platform.
  • Develop features end to end, including architecture, coding, and testing.
  • Collaborate with Product to understand customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and define upcoming features.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-tested code that improves the codebase.
  • Diagnose problems and architect scalable solutions.
  • Help build and grow SimplePractice’s software engineering team in Mexico.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on Ruby on Rails expertise.
  • Strong proficiency in English and effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience with Ember.js or React.js and their surrounding ecosystems.
  • Experience designing and implementing large, scalable web applications.
  • Experience taking Rails applications from concept through production.
  • Understanding of Test-Driven Development.
  • Experience working effectively with remote teams using GitHub, Slack, Notion, and Zoom.
  • Knowledge of web application security, Docker, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, NGINX, AWS, Linux, Terraform, or Ansible preferred.
  • Experience with production troubleshooting and PCI/HIPAA compliance preferred.
