Description

  • Build, maintain, and monitor production machine learning models and offline experimentation frameworks for fraud detection.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact ML projects from offline experimentation through deployment to production.
  • Identify, prototype, and integrate new ML technologies and infrastructure to improve fraud detection effectiveness and scalability.
  • Design and implement ML pipeline components that support rapid experimentation and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to turn business needs into technical ML solutions.
  • Contribute novel modeling methods, advanced feature engineering, and robust statistical practices in partnership with Platform Engineering.
  • Improve model performance, experimentation processes, and the reliability of fraud detection systems.
  • Champion best practices in testing, documentation, model monitoring, and development to raise technical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a comparable quantitative field.
  • 4-6+ years of post-undergraduate experience in a production-grade machine learning environment.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning theory and statistical evaluation.
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning at scale.
  • Proven track record of taking ML projects from research or prototype to high-scale production environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, key ML libraries, and Spark.
  • Strong outcome-oriented mindset focused on business impact.
  • Attention to detail is critical; candidates must start the first application question response with the word “Stochastic.”
  • Previous experience in fraud, fintech, payments, or e-commerce is preferred.
  • Passion for writing well-tested production-grade code is preferred.
  • Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
