Description

  • Lead, grow, and support engineers building foundational infrastructure for Figma’s AI products.
  • Define technical strategy and manage day-to-day project execution with engineering and product leaders.
  • Hire, coach, and develop senior and staff-level engineers and AI engineering leads.
  • Engage deeply in technical decisions and implementation to help deliver a robust AI platform.
  • Build an inclusive engineering culture through effective hiring and team-building practices.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to develop and scale AI platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing, fast-moving teams, ideally in AI.
  • 8+ years of total engineering experience, ideally including staff-level individual contributor experience.
  • Experience operating production AI systems.
  • Track record of motivating, mentoring, and developing experienced AI engineering leads.
  • Ability to learn new AI technologies quickly and build technical depth in emerging domains.
  • Experience building and scaling engineering teams and organizational structures.
  • Experience building AI agents, agent harnesses, agent loops, or LLM and agent tooling platforms preferred.
  • Experience with high-scale production infrastructure such as inference systems, metering, anti-abuse, or billing systems preferred.
  • Background in adjacent platform domains such as recommendation systems or networking preferred.
