Description

  • Directly lead and manage a team of Patient Engagement Specialists supporting prior authorization and financial assistance workflows.
  • Proactively manage support for assigned hospitals and clinics to help patients receive medications on time.
  • Oversee service level goals, workflow efficiency, and quality of care for the Patient Engagement team.
  • Manage ADP, PTO, and time reports for team members.
  • Complete audits and manage new requests in supported systems to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Provide front-line supervision, coaching, and performance management for team members.
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration with clinical teams, hospital partners, and on-site managers.
  • Run team meetings, create agendas, document follow-ups, and maintain records of collaboration calls.
  • Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, access requests, and training coordination for new team members.
  • Absorb overflow work during short staffing or high workload periods and support special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered pharmacy technician in the state of employment and nationally certified as a CPhT, with commitment to obtain any required state certification within a mutually agreed timeframe.
  • 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience, with 3-5+ years preferred in specialty pharmacy.
  • Strongly preferred leadership experience, such as Regional Team Lead or similar experience leading team members.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or actively working toward a degree.
  • Training in leadership and management theory is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy dispensing or EMR systems is desirable; Willow, Qs1, and RX30 experience is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and private health information.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% if needed for remote roles outside Shields core locations.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $70,000 to $75,000.
  • Annual bonus potential.
  • Salary may vary based on specialized skills, training, experience, and education.
  • Remote role supporting PST hours.
