Description

  • Lead and manage an assigned Specialty Liaison team supporting specialty clinics in hospital settings.
  • Coach, develop, and provide ongoing feedback and training to liaison staff.
  • Coordinate day-to-day coverage, performance management, and employee development for the team.
  • Facilitate communication among liaisons, pharmacy teams, clinic teams, functional groups, and leadership.
  • Ensure consistent execution of best practices for prior authorizations, patient financial assistance, refills, appointments, and outreach.
  • Meet or exceed operational targets related to clinic service, growth, patient satisfaction, and outcomes.
  • Identify, implement, and support process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital and clinic stakeholders up to manager and director levels.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership, data analytics, and Patient Support Center teams on growth initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Provide performance updates and subject matter expertise to Shields leadership and partner clinics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare or pharmacy environment with direct patient and clinician contact required.
  • National certification as a CPhT or equivalent, and prior experience as a licensed pharmacy technician, is preferred.
  • Experience working in a retail, hospital, or provider setting communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to quickly learn other programs and extract relevant information.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Ability to manage employee performance against quantitative metrics without compromising clinical quality.
  • Patient-centered, dependable, motivational, collaborative, and able to lead and train a team.
  • Discretion and confidentiality are essential due to handling highly sensitive health information.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually.
  • Potential bonus eligibility under the terms of any applicable bonus plan.
  • Compensation varies based on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other legally permitted factors.
