Description

Define and execute a unified market data strategy across crypto exchanges, decentralized venues, and traditional markets.
Design scalable, low-latency data architecture for tick-level, order book, and on-chain data.
Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions for internal data platforms and external providers.
Build and manage relationships with crypto exchanges, data aggregators, and node providers.
Support commercial negotiations, licensing, and exchange agreements across crypto and traditional markets.
Ensure high-quality, normalized datasets through symbol mapping, schema standardization, and latency benchmarking.
Oversee ingestion of real-time market and on-chain data, including order books, trades, reference data, and funding rates.
Establish monitoring and alerting frameworks for data integrity and completeness.
Manage and optimize the global market data budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Partner with engineering to build high-performance pipelines, feed handlers, and distribution systems.
Support compliance with exchange licensing, redistribution rules, and crypto regulatory frameworks.
Work with trading, quant research, risk, and portfolio management teams to deliver market data solutions.
Lead a multidisciplinary team and establish best practices for onboarding, validation, and lifecycle management.
Champion the thoughtful adoption of AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in market data management within a trading firm, hedge fund, or financial institution.
Deep knowledge of market data vendors, exchanges, and licensing models.
Strong understanding of trading workflows and asset classes including equities, futures, options, FX, and fixed income.
Experience with real-time, reference, and historical data types.
Proven experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing large budgets.
Experience with low-latency data systems, market data feeds, APIs, and streaming technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
Familiarity with on-chain data, blockchain nodes, and crypto data providers is a plus.
