Description

  • Proactively identify and implement strategic growth initiatives through opportunity analysis, executive pitches, and resourcing plans.
  • Lead site operations at health system partner locations, including oversight of the in-clinic pharmacy liaison team.
  • Own P&L performance for assigned health system partner sites and work to meet financial targets.
  • Monitor operational, patient outcome, and satisfaction metrics to ensure performance goals are met or exceeded.
  • Partner with Shields functional leadership to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Build and manage relationships with hospital, clinic, pharmacy, and executive stakeholders up to the Vice President level.
  • Develop and execute account management plans for health system partners.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, performance management, and accountability for dedicated staff supporting partner sites.
  • Coach and develop team members to strengthen the talent pipeline and build future leaders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to hospital partner executive teams on specialty pharmacy growth and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy and an active pharmacist license preferred, or comparable clinical credential such as RN or MD.
  • Demonstrated interest and success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring orientation with an interest in developing future leaders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work hands-on with the team.
  • Analytical decision-maker who can make and defend data-driven decisions.
  • Interest in P&L ownership, large-team leadership, and achieving stretch financial and operational targets.
  • Experience in process development, process mapping, process improvement, hospital operations, or pharmacy operations preferred.
  • Experience presenting operating results to senior management, executives, or boards, preferably in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or venture-backed environments.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling and data visualization.
  • Ability to work with limited direct oversight and build collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Resides in the Midwest or western U.S. strongly preferred; monthly onsite presence required in Denver, CO.
