Description

  • Build and maintain innovative product features across the Sezzle platform.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product feature owners to design and deliver new functionality.
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions for new features and platform improvements.
  • Contribute hands-on to the codebase and participate in code reviews.
  • Mentor engineers who are early in their careers.
  • Help the team continuously build and deploy scalable solutions.
  • Assist with project planning, estimation, and execution with stakeholders.
  • Solve challenging technical problems as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science is required.
  • Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend development, with React experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with backend-focused languages such as Go or another compiled, statically typed language.
  • Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
  • Knowledge of automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (preferred).
  • Familiarity with RESTful API principles and design (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of microservice architecture (preferred).
  • Close familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes (preferred).
  • Experience with Sezzle's stack, including Golang, TypeScript, Python, React, React Native, MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, AWS, Kubernetes, Git, and GitLab (preferred).
