Description

  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to improve financial software solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
  • Build new features and products as part of an integrated engineering team.
  • Use accounting and finance domain knowledge to identify process gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
  • Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Provide support and consulting on software system usage.
  • Design software applications and features in Golang.
  • Build reports and automations using Python and SQL.
  • Contribute to distributed architecture and scalable system design.
  • Collect and use metrics to drive continuous improvement of existing products.
  • Deliver high-quality, testable features that meet reporting and compliance standards.
  • Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Experience building and serving REST APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
  • Experience bringing new ideas and building consensus on the path forward.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance is preferred.
  • Experience in banking or financial institutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go is preferred.
  • Experience with database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL is preferred.
  • Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes is preferred.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog is preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerized microservice architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications is preferred.
