Description

  • Design software applications and features in Golang and React.
  • Build and support distributed system architecture while maintaining consistency at scale.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams on solution design.
  • Develop new features and deliver high-quality, testable software that meets reporting standards.
  • Collect and analyze metrics to drive continuous improvement of existing products.
  • Lead small development teams when needed to bring projects to market.
  • Mentor engineering teammates and help elevate their skills and knowledge.
  • Iterate on feedback to improve internal workflows and customer-facing outcomes.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Experience building and serving REST APIs using Go, preferably, or Java, Python, or a similar language.
  • Experience working in distributed, cloud-based architectures.
  • Experience with design patterns such as transactional outboxes or queuing tools such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
  • BS in Computer Science or a similar degree.
  • Experience with SQL-based RDBMS through an ORM tool preferred.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog preferred.
  • DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines preferred.
  • Experience with containerized microservice architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications preferred.
  • Strong ability to build consensus on the path forward and introduce new ideas.
  • Salary range of $5,000 - $9,500 gross USD per month; role notes 8+ years of experience for the listed compensation band.
