Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between the Censys Platform and third-party SOAR, SIEM, and TIP solutions.
  • Develop and operate scalable, high-availability API connectors.
  • Maintain and improve existing Censys open source APIs.
  • Build and maintain internal pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for deploying hosted integrations and services.
  • Design automated solutions for building, testing, monitoring, and deploying applications in a continuous integration environment.
  • Prioritize customer feature requests and help define the integrations roadmap.
  • Stay current on emerging SOAR, SIEM, and TIP technologies to inform integration strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building and maintaining integrations or backend systems.
  • Deep understanding of API-first development and service integration patterns.
  • Proven ability to integrate multiple APIs into a unified platform with well-defined service contracts.
  • Proficiency with Python (4+ years).
  • Continuous drive to improve CI/CD processes and developer workflows.
  • Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Bias toward action and an iterative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to contribute thoughtfully to technical discussions and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills across engineering and non-engineering teams.
  • Preferred: expertise with REST/gRPC and microservice architecture.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Go (Golang) building backend services or integrations.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience integrating with security platforms such as Splunk, Cortex XSOAR, Anomali, or Recorded Future.
  • Preferred: cybersecurity engineering background.
  • Preferred: experience with multiple cloud providers, especially Google Cloud.
  • Preferred: proven success integrating with vendor marketplaces such as AWS or Splunk.
  • Preferred: familiarity with open-source security frameworks and tools such as Metasploit, recon-ng, nmap, Qualys, and Tenable.
  • Preferred: experience building, deploying, and maintaining containerized services in Kubernetes environments.
  • Preferred: background in distributed systems, observability, or data ingestion frameworks.
  • Preferred: experience managing database migrations and architecting scalable data access patterns.
  • Preferred: experience using AI and ML tools to improve productivity and product capabilities.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $171,000-$205,000 USD for high cost of living areas, or $141,000-$190,000 USD for other US locations, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
