Description

  • Help own and build new features in the cross-platform TypeScript React Native app and Golang backend APIs.
  • Manage app releases using cohorting, feature flags, and app store infrastructure to support safe rollouts to millions of users.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with product, design, and business stakeholders to ensure needs are evaluated and met.
  • Build clean, scalable, robust, and testable code with the team.
  • Develop deep working knowledge of the application, data domain, and KPIs.
  • Lead features end to end from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
  • Perform high-quality code reviews and help improve maintainability, clarity, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior or mid-level engineers and drive technical decisions that raise team code quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional mobile development experience, including at least 2+ years with React Native or similar technology such as Flutter.
  • Experience with native iOS code using Swift or Objective-C and native Android code using Kotlin or Java.
  • Experience developing and releasing mobile applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Deep understanding of React Native architecture, hooks, context, navigation patterns, and performance optimization.
  • Strong familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, and Appium.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science.
  • Knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions.
  • Preferred experience writing automated tests and implementing them in CI environments.
  • Preferred ability to solve problems with backend-focused languages like Go, Python, or Java.
  • Preferred familiarity with microservice architectures composed of HTTP APIs.
  • Preferred experience working with native code on iOS and Android.
  • Ability to work well with product managers, designers, backend teams, and QA.
