Description

  • Translate mockups and wireframes into production-ready Vue 3 components.
  • Build complete features from requirements through testing and deployment, owning the end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Make thoughtful UI/UX decisions with minimal specifications and align new work to existing application patterns.
  • Establish frontend patterns and build reusable components to ensure consistency across the application.
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers and the product team to ship features quickly and iterate on designs.
  • Optimize frontend performance and ensure responsive, accessible interfaces that meet a11y/WCAG considerations.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to maintain code quality and shared standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues in production and development environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of frontend development with expertise in the Vue 3 ecosystem (Composition API, Vue Router, Pinia, PrimeVue).
  • Strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+); experience using Tailwind CSS for styled components.
  • Proficiency with Git workflows and modern build tools (Vite preferred; some legacy Webpack experience).
  • Experience integrating with backend APIs (GraphQL and/or REST).
  • Strong design intuition and the ability to interpret and expand on mockups from Balsamiq, Figma, or Photoshop into polished interfaces.
  • Comfortable making independent UI/UX decisions with minimal guidance and translating rough concepts into consistent UI patterns.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and independent priority management skills.
  • Able to work fully remotely within the US and maintain core overlap with a team primarily on US Eastern time.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Linux environments, Docker/containerization, testing tools (Playwright, Vitest), accessibility best practices (WCAG), Java/Maven exposure, small product-team experience, and open-source contributions.
  • Formal degree not required (education is optional).
