Description

  • Deliver end-to-end features in an object-oriented Core/Vanilla PHP codebase.
  • Design and implement versioned JSON REST APIs with validation, pagination, authentication, and error handling.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, indexes, transactions, and PDO integrations.
  • Design MongoDB schemas and aggregation pipelines for document-oriented use cases.
  • Build front-end interactions using jQuery, HTML/CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Integrate external REST APIs and webhooks, including OAuth, retries, idempotency, and rate-limit handling.
  • Deploy and operate applications on AWS using Elastic Beanstalk, S3, DynamoDB, logging, and monitoring.
  • Manage SSL/TLS certificates and Cloudflare DNS, caching, redirects, and CDN rules.
  • Support WordPress CMS integrations, custom fields, templates, and headless endpoints.
  • Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions while improving testing, observability, documentation, and code quality.

Requirements

  • Experience with Core/Vanilla PHP 7.x/8.x and strong object-oriented programming, including interfaces, traits, namespaces, dependency injection, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful JSON APIs, authentication patterns, and versioning.
  • Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, indexing, transactions, and PDO best practices.
  • Working knowledge of MongoDB schema design, aggregations, and performance fundamentals.
  • Front-end experience with jQuery, semantic HTML, modern CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience integrating external APIs and webhooks using OAuth, retries, idempotency, and error handling.
  • AWS experience with Elastic Beanstalk, S3, DynamoDB, environment configuration, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of web security practices, including input validation, CSRF, XSS, SQL injection prevention, secrets management, and safe file handling.
  • Experience managing SSL/TLS and Cloudflare DNS, including HSTS, redirects, caching, and certificate renewals.
  • Experience with WordPress, Git-based collaborative workflows, CI basics, and Linux/CLI diagnostics.
  • Experience with queues/workers, PHPUnit, performance profiling, caching, or observability is preferred.
