Description

  • Partner with product, design, engineering, and marketing to shape roadmaps by sizing opportunities, evaluating impact, and translating data into actionable narratives.
  • Lead end-to-end analytical work, including opportunity sizing, experimental design, and deep-dive diagnostics using structured and unstructured data.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner in product planning by connecting analytics to company strategy and market trends.
  • Create and improve key datasets and contribute to the analytics tooling ecosystem, including dbt, Hex, and Mixpanel.
  • Design, frame, and evaluate experiments using best-practice methodologies to isolate causal effects and interpret noisy data.
  • Mentor peers in analysis design, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement without direct management responsibility.
  • Represent analytics in leadership forums and help embed analytics into major product decisions.
  • Support the understanding of engagement loops, retention strategy, and complex product behavior through data.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related role, preferably in tech, ecommerce marketplaces, or consumer products.
  • Experience working on engagement loops or retention strategy.
  • Deep fluency in SQL and comfort with Python or R for exploratory analysis and modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to own ambiguous problem spaces from question framing through recommendation delivery.
  • A systems-thinking mindset with the ability to map how product and business components interact.
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, and interpreting complex product behavior through data.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses, defend methodology choices, and influence action.
  • Collaborative mindset and emotional intelligence, with a reputation as a trusted thought partner.
  • Bonus points for experience in B2B2C businesses, data infrastructure work such as event tracking or dbt modeling, and familiarity with marketing technology.
  • Required languages: SQL; Python is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience with the tools and stack used by the team, including Airflow, Fivetran, Python, dbt, Redshift, mParticle, Eppo, Mixpanel, Looker, Hex, Gitlab, Claude Code, and Hex Agent.
