Description

  • Own end-to-end performance of the Produce category across the U.S., including selection productivity, profitability, affordability, and availability.
  • Define category strategy from first principles, including assortment architecture, SKU productivity targets, pricing tiers, vendor mix, and promotional approach.
  • Lead assortment decisions, vendor partnerships, pricing strategy, and category analytics to drive growth and profitability.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure high-quality, fresh product reaches customers.
  • Transform strategies into operational experiments that produce measurable and actionable outcomes.
  • Assess the operational and financial impact of category decisions and iterate based on data.
  • Lead a team of two assortment specialists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Supply Chain, Finance, Pricing, Product, local operations, and space planning.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of professional experience in high-performance environments such as tech, operations, strategy, consulting, manufacturing, automation, or engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience with e-commerce, physical retail, or startup environments is a plus.
  • Experience in category management or retail buying is preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability with comfort pulling data in SQL and modeling in Excel.
  • Ability to solve problems from first principles and adapt to ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Comfort operating both in the details and at a strategic, long-term level.
  • Completed BS/BA degree.
  • Experience leading teams and collaborating cross-functionally is expected.
