Description

  • Set technical direction for US Ticketing architecture, system ownership, modernization, and platform boundaries.
  • Lead the evolution of a mature, business-critical platform while balancing delivery, reliability, scalability, and modernization.
  • Contribute technically through code, prototypes, debugging, architecture reviews, technical designs, and documentation.
  • Advance AI-native engineering practices across software design, development, testing, operations, and system understanding.
  • Partner with Product and Design leadership to shape strategy and technical direction.
  • Engage with clients, sales, and implementation teams on complex business and engineering needs.
  • Lead and develop Engineering Managers, Staff+ engineers, and other senior technical leaders.
  • Build organizational capability by developing leaders, growing technical talent, and evolving team structures.
  • Establish a culture of ownership, constructive technical debate, strong execution, and sustainable performance.

Requirements

  • Experience leading multiple engineering teams and Engineering Managers in a complex software organization.
  • Strong technical judgment and architectural depth across difficult system and platform decisions.
  • Ability and willingness to contribute technically through architecture, technical writing, prototyping, debugging, and code.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development and a perspective on AI’s impact on engineering practices.
  • Experience modernizing mature, business-critical systems while continuing to deliver customer value.
  • Track record of developing technical strategy from ambiguous product and business problems.
  • Experience partnering with senior Product and Design leaders and learning complex customer domains.
  • Experience developing Engineering Managers and Staff+ engineers.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, ownership, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ticketing, live events, commerce, payments, reservations, inventory, or similar transactional systems is preferred.

  • Salary range of $236,000–$341,000 USD, plus equity eligibility and a discretionary annual bonus.
  • Flexible work arrangement, including fully remote work or office-based work, with a work-from-home stipend.
