Description

  • Lead senior software and infrastructure engineers responsible for the performance, reliability, and evolution of the UCaaS voice platform.
  • Partner with Product Management to define goals, set priorities, and translate strategy into execution.
  • Drive planning and delivery of new features and services while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Coach and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and structured growth plans.
  • Lead sprint ceremonies, status reviews, and execution rhythms that create clarity and accountability.
  • Champion best practices in infrastructure as code, reproducibility, automation, and observability.
  • Guide architecture decisions and contribute to complex troubleshooting when needed.
  • Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and system visibility across the VoIP environment.
  • Ensure voice infrastructure is highly available, scalable, and resilient.
  • Support escalated technical issues and participate in an on-call rotation of approximately one week per month.

Requirements

  • 5 years of software, infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering experience.
  • Leadership and initiative.
  • Ability to lead a remote-work team.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience working in a Linux or UNIX-like environment.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tooling such as Ansible or Docker.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with version control using Git.
  • Experience using or building observability stacks such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Datadog, or Nagios.
  • English fluency and strong writing skills.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or OpenStack is preferred.
  • Proficiency with VoIP technologies such as SIP, RTP, and other real-time communication protocols is helpful but not required.
  • Proficiency with telephony platforms such as FreeSWITCH, OpenSIPS, Kamailio, or Asterisk is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with programming languages such as PHP or Lua is helpful but not required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
