Description

  • Partner with sales teams to define territory and account strategies that support customer success.
  • Build long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Present Samsara’s value proposition and explain how customers use the platform to solve industry-specific challenges.
  • Lead customer discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations.
  • Guide installers through product installation scenarios and help create deployment plans.
  • Develop sample proof-of-concept scripts using the open API to solve real-world customer problems.
  • Document technical examples and solutions for other Sales Engineers to reuse.
  • Apply Samsara’s cultural principles while collaborating across teams and offices.
  • Influence prospects and stakeholders by translating technical concepts into business value.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support role.
  • Ability to continuously grow and develop professionally.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation, and control systems.
  • Strong ability to identify customer value and focus on what matters most to the customer.
  • Advanced degree in one of the listed technical disciplines (preferred).
  • 5+ years of enterprise experience in a pre-sales environment (preferred).
  • Experience with task automation scripting and data transfer using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages (preferred).
  • Experience building solutions using open APIs (preferred).
  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications (preferred).
  • Hobbyist interest in electronic systems such as car audio, classic car restoration, home automation, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino projects (preferred).
  • Proven success selling complex technical solutions through strategic sales cycles (preferred).
  • Must be located in Mexico City (preferred).
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Open to remote work from Mexico, preferably near metropolitan Mexico City.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
