Description

  • Monitor installation milestone progress and resolve issues, challenges, and project complexities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for installation escalations and troubleshooting.
  • Track installation CSAT and address root causes of dissatisfaction.
  • Help partners build project-specific installation guides and train installer technicians on requirements.
  • Coordinate with installation vendors to ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Provide onsite oversight for large or complex deployments, including readiness checks, access coordination, troubleshooting, and quality checks.
  • Perform first-of-kind installations on complex projects as the hands-on technical expert.
  • Identify risks early and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Capture lessons learned to improve processes and drive continuous improvement with partners.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Implementation, and Product teams to share feedback and improve the installation experience.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and Samsara best practices throughout the installation lifecycle.
  • Validate that the Statement of Work aligns with project installation requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability required.
  • 4+ years of experience managing vehicle and/or hardware technology.
  • Prior vehicle installation or up-fitter experience preferred.
  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, including CAN bus and PTO applications, for on-road and off-road vehicles and yellow iron equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Experience in field operations coordination, implementation, and technical deployment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to travel 50-70%, including weekends and overnight stays.
  • Ability to develop customer-facing documentation and communicate effectively in ambiguous environments (preferred).
  • Strong bias for standardization and automation, with high standards and big-picture thinking (preferred).
  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with AI tools to improve operational efficiency (preferred).
