Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations of SIEM platforms, including log ingestion, parsing, normalization, health checks, user access, and cost monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain the platform that moves security telemetry from raw sources into a security data lake in Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
  • Tune and optimize telemetry ingestion at scale for cost efficiency and support SOC and threat detection search and analytics workloads.
  • Integrate AI tools and large language models into daily workflows to improve SecOps effectiveness.
  • Develop AI agents to automate Tier 1 and Tier 2 security operations tasks, including incident investigation and response.
  • Partner with global cross-functional teams across time zones and manage stakeholder communication.
  • Support the security of Rubrik’s global multi-cloud environment through operational security engineering and automation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Security Ops and Engineering, with a focus on security data management and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one SIEM platform such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or Elastic.
  • Hands-on experience with a SOAR platform such as Palo Alto XSOAR or Splunk SOAR.
  • Practical experience administering or developing in Snowflake, BigQuery, and/or Databricks.
  • Prior experience building or maintaining data platforms that handle 50–100 TB/day is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
  • Understanding of cloud warehouse and lakehouse concepts, open table formats, and search engines for a composable security data stack.
  • Solid experience in one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Multi-cloud familiarity is a major plus.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in using AI tools to improve effectiveness and solve complex problems in SecOps and GRC domains.
  • Exposure to cloud logging frameworks and best practices for security telemetry ingestion is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, or GKE is nice to have.
  • Interest or experience in building AI-driven security workflows is nice to have.
  • Knowledge of modern CI/CD patterns and DevOps security integrations is nice to have.
  • Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools is nice to have.
