Description

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Rubrik’s data protection and data security solutions for database workloads deployed on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on assigned opportunities by aligning Rubrik’s technology and roadmap with customer business objectives.
  • Lead product demonstrations, technical workshops, and solution presentations for technical and executive audiences.
  • Support North American customers while working in the US Eastern Time Zone.
  • Contribute to proposals, white papers, and responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Collaborate with presales teams to design, execute, and troubleshoot proof-of-concepts.
  • Identify technical challenges and architect creative solutions to remove sales barriers.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into clear, actionable technical strategies.
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to influence feature development based on customer feedback and market demands.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and actionable insights from customer engagements to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in customer-facing technical sales or consulting roles focused on enterprise database technologies and cloud.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep technical proficiency in at least two core areas, including Oracle RAC with ASM, pluggable databases, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Exadata, ExaCC/CS, or cloud database architecture across OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed databases such as MongoDB and Apache Cassandra, or relational databases such as SQL Server, IBM DB2, Informix, and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Go, or JavaScript.
  • Experience conducting benchmarks and performance testing on enterprise systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales acumen with the ability to articulate technical value to C-level executives and database administrators.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with sales, engineering, and product management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presentations and concise technical writing.
  • Experience with data center hardware/software, cloud platforms, data security solutions, IaaS, PaaS, or hypervisor software.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings and site visits.
  • Work location is Bengaluru, India.
