Description

  • Own end-to-end billing operations across the full claims lifecycle, including insurance verification, prior authorization, claim submission, follow-up, denials, rejections, resubmissions, and reporting.
  • Lead and manage a team of 4+ offshore support staff by setting priorities, assigning workstreams, reviewing output, and keeping operations on track.
  • Serve as the escalation point for billing issues and ensure processes are running consistently and correctly across the team.
  • Manage a high volume of billing questions and escalations from vendors and internal teams, including patient responsibility questions and vendor issues.
  • Triaging urgent operational items such as medical record subpoenas and collection agency contacts.
  • Support ad hoc revenue cycle management projects, including state launches, new payer setup, provider enrollment, and credentialing gap resolution for existing clinicians.
  • Investigate and resolve claim and billing issues that do not add up, pushing beyond the first answer when needed.
  • Maintain operational rigor by following up on open items and keeping workflows clean and organized.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on revenue cycle management experience.
  • Strong familiarity with the full claims lifecycle, including denials, rejections, adjustments, and resubmissions.
  • Comfortable working in Availity and standard provider portals.
  • Ownership-oriented and able to run workflows proactively with minimal oversight.
  • Clear communicator who can present information in an actionable format and stay responsive to partner teams.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with multiple simultaneous workstreams.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience preferred.
  • Able to push back, flag problems, and hold vendors and internal teams to a higher standard without formal authority.
