Description

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team covering SMT process, manufacturing, new product introduction, and automation.
  • Drive engineering strategy aligned with company goals for quality, cost, yield, and delivery.
  • Serve as the technical authority for IPC and aerospace process control standards.
  • Own engineering initiatives across all PCBA manufacturing functions, including build readiness reviews and standardization.
  • Ensure process qualification and documentation meet J-STD-001 Space & Military Addendum and customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain process windows, control plans, PFMEAs, and validation reports.
  • Lead DFM/DFX reviews, tooling design, stencil strategy, and prototype builds.
  • Oversee travelers, BOM validation, build instructions, work instructions, and change control processes.
  • Lead lean and continuous improvement programs to reduce waste, defects, and improve throughput.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Production, Program Management, Supply Chain, SMT, and suppliers on technical issues and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of PCBA manufacturing engineering experience.
  • At least 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001 Class 3 and Space/Military Addendums.
  • Deep knowledge of IPC-A-610 Class 3 and AS9100D.
  • Knowledge of IPC-7351, IPC-7711/7721, and IPC-2221.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-reliability electronics.
  • Strong background in SMT, AOI/AXI, DFM/DFX, rework, chemical wash, polymerics, and test strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and technical decision-making skills.

  • Competitive salary of $150,000 to $200,000 USD.
