Description

  • Own end-to-end delivery and portfolio-level outcomes for the projects in your domain.
  • Set the delivery standard and provide senior, hands-on leadership across the portfolio.
  • Partner with senior customers and a Customer Success Manager to create outcome-oriented roadmaps.
  • Ensure portfolio roadmaps align to team-level roadmaps and maximize production outcomes.
  • Track daily progress across teams and report key delivery metrics to leadership.
  • Make allocation decisions to optimize team and portfolio outcomes.
  • Manage performance across the portfolio, including coaching, assessment, and employment decisions when needed.
  • Identify training gaps and coordinate remediation and ramp plans with the Enablement team.
  • Source cross-functional support to remediate portfolio issues and surface risks early.
  • Facilitate portfolio governance activities such as reviews, release planning, and executive briefings.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, gitops tooling hygiene, and measurement.
  • Lead and inspire teams to delivery success while promoting AI-augmented ways of working.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on delivery or program leadership for software development teams with ownership of delivery outcomes and budgets.
  • Experience building and managing portfolio- or program-level outcome roadmaps that map to team-level plans.
  • Strong budget literacy, including forecasting, variance analysis, and investment/divestment recommendations.
  • Proven senior stakeholder management experience, including partnering with Customer Success Managers.
  • Experience with Agile and Lean delivery practices and tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience using delivery metrics such as lead time, cycle time, deployment frequency, and throughput.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including performance management, allocation decisions, coaching, and hiring input.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief executives and program offices.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving remote environment and handling ambiguity.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligibility to obtain required clearance, with willingness to be clearable for DoD Secret.
  • Military or federal civilian program experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CUI handling, DD254 execution, CMMC L2, and NIST SP 800-171 controls is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD, cloud-native deployments, and observability or telemetry tooling is preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple delivery teams or a delivery portfolio is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building with AI and integrating it into product and engineering workflows is preferred.
  • Active Secret or higher security clearance is a plus.
  • PMP, SAFe, or equivalent delivery or PMO certification is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $190,000 to $225,000, regardless of U.S. location.
  • Flexible schedule in a 100% distributed workforce.
