Description

  • Proofread engineering, architectural, fire, and other technical reports and documents for quality, formatting, and corporate compliance.
  • Review documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and readability.
  • Suggest, track, and manage edits and recommendations for reports.
  • Adjust formatting settings such as line spacing and style requirements to match internal standards.
  • Transmit finalized reports and invoices to clients through email or client portals.
  • Enter electronic notes in the internal database to document key milestones.
  • Store final documents in the appropriate matter folders.
  • Communicate with engineers, architects, fire professionals, administrative staff, and other stakeholders across the organization.
  • Support internal consultants and external clients with report-related requests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with some college; an English degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience reviewing Word documents and performing proofreading, grammar, and punctuation review.
  • Experience with insurance, construction, or legal documents and contracts is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent business writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Advanced English language, grammar, and punctuation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, stay flexible, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Comfort with repetitive work and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand written information.
