Description

  • Produce monthly and quarterly threat intelligence reports, blog posts, and executive briefings that translate complex findings for non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively track adversary TTPs, monitor dark web and underground forums, map infrastructure, and identify emerging threats before they become public.
  • Use AI-assisted workflows, LLMs, and automation tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and output volume.
  • Write Python scripts and pipelines for data collection, API querying, signal extraction, and detection logic.
  • Leverage data extraction tools to pull insights from SecurityScorecard’s proprietary data platform for marketing and customer-facing content.
  • Present research on webinars and at customer events, explaining findings to CISOs, insurance buyers, CFOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align research output with the content calendar, events, and demand generation goals.
  • Contribute to SecurityScorecard’s published research presence through reports, blog posts, and media briefings.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of hands-on threat intelligence experience at a commercial vendor, financial institution, or intelligence-community organization with commercial output requirements.
  • Proven written output, such as published research, reports, or briefings for non-technical readers; work samples are required.
  • Strong Python skills used regularly for automation, data collection, API querying, and pipeline building.
  • Daily use of AI and LLM tooling as part of the research workflow.
  • Proactive threat-hunting mindset with a process for identifying signals before they are publicly visible.
  • Clear, concise communication and synthesis skills for both short executive briefs and longer whitepapers.
  • Ability to present research at events and webinars with practitioner credibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Journalism, Political Science, or equivalent experience; demonstrated output may substitute for a formal degree.
  • Background at a pure-play commercial TI vendor or in financial services threat intelligence is preferred.
  • Experience with DriftNet, Shodan, VirusTotal Intelligence, MISP, or comparable data platforms is preferred.
  • Detection engineering experience with YARA, Sigma, or Snort is preferred.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data pipelines or streaming platforms such as Kafka or Splunk is preferred.
  • Prior experience creating content that supports marketing, demand generation, or customer-facing commercial goals is preferred.

  • Estimated total compensation range of $80,000 - $120,000 (base plus bonus).
