Description

  • Develop and lead global HSES strategies, policies, programs, and practice standards.
  • Establish consistent global HSES frameworks aligned with local risks and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise leaders and employees on field and office safety, risk mitigation, and compliance.
  • Assess hazards associated with construction, industrial, disaster, travel, confined-space, roadside, and other field environments.
  • Develop guidance for pre-task planning, PPE, incident response, and critical safety practices.
  • Lead investigations of significant incidents, injuries, near misses, and security concerns; identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Monitor HSES and physical security metrics, trends, and performance, and report recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinate HSES training, communications, audits, assessments, and operational resources.
  • Monitor regulatory and industry changes and update company programs accordingly.
  • Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, environmental compliance, physical security, and response planning.
  • Build relationships with consultants, clients, vendors, regulators, insurers, and other external partners.
  • Promote accountability for safe work practices and physical security across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HSE experience, including leading programs across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated HSE experience in civil engineering and construction, including projects across different countries.
  • Experience supporting professional services, construction, engineering, industrial, or other field-based operations.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, environmental regulations, and industry practices.
  • Understanding of construction, industrial, residential, and disaster-related hazards.
  • Strong risk assessment, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence leaders and employees across functions and geographies without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of psychosocial workplace requirements, return-to-work processes, and insurance requirements.
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed global organization and distinguish corporate standards from local legal requirements.
  • Eligible to work in the United States and able to travel domestically and internationally, including approximately 50% overnight travel.
  • International or geographically dispersed operations experience, ISO/IMS experience, and CSP, CRSP, CMIOSH, or comparable certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in office, construction, and industrial environments, wear PPE, navigate uneven terrain, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability to support 24-hour HSE and security operations.
