Description

  • Provide executive oversight for clinical research project portfolios, ensuring on-time, in-scope, budget-compliant, high-quality delivery.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for clients and internal teams, addressing risks and delivery challenges proactively.
  • Partner with Business Development on operational strategies, pricing, proposals, bid defenses, and transitions into execution.
  • Oversee portfolio financial performance, including forecasting, invoicing, change orders, contract management, and out-of-scope work.
  • Build executive-level client relationships, lead governance meetings and portfolio reviews, and support repeat business.
  • Mentor Project Management staff and promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive consistency, efficiency, quality, process improvement, and organizational change across project portfolios.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, ICH-GCP guidelines, and client expectations.
  • Establish governance, communication, and escalation pathways while facilitating discussions with sponsors and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Science or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of clinical research project management or equivalent leadership experience.
  • At least 4 years of program- or portfolio-level oversight experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience working at or managing contract research organizations (CROs).
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and contract administration.
  • Advanced strategic planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of industry regulatory and compliance standards, including ICH-GCP principles.
  • Knowledge of business development, proposal strategy, and organizational change management.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, mentoring, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Respiratory clinical research expertise and the ability to build senior-level client and cross-functional relationships.
