Description

  • Prepare complex network designs for new and existing client sites, relocations, upgrades, expansions, and disaster recovery setups.
  • Assist with the design, build, and configuration of global network environments and document solutions for peer training.
  • Implement and maintain L2/L3 network designs, VPNs, routing, network management, and security protocols.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for network and data communication issues, including circuits, routing, VPNs, WAN optimization, hardware, and vendor connectivity.
  • Research networking issues and evaluate solutions to resolve technical problems effectively.
  • Prioritize urgent client needs and manage expectations to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Configure IPSec VPN tunnels, IP communication, and routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Support both business-as-usual and project work, including required time sheet completion for client billing.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and handle escalations from other business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 7-10 years of related IT experience in a Cisco environment.
  • 5+ years of network engineering experience.
  • CCNP or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in network design architect work.
  • Advanced routing and switching experience.
  • Ability to travel to client offices and data centers as needed.
  • Palo Alto experience required; Fortigate and ASA experience are an advantage.
  • Financial services industry experience and MSP experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of routing, WAN/LAN, and transport technologies including Ethernet, SDWAN, VPN, DMVPN, and MPLS.
  • Excellent desktop and server troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
  • Hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion, Kiwi, and Syslog is a plus.
