Description

  • Lead the SOC, NOC, and Threat Intelligence & Detection functions through approximately five direct reports and 150+ onshore and offshore employees.
  • Design the converged operating model, including organizational structure, shift coverage, integration points, processes, escalation paths, and playbooks.
  • Own the operating budget, headcount plan, tooling and vendor spend, cost to serve, delivery margins, and capacity inputs for pricing and new services.
  • Oversee 24/7 security monitoring, investigation, incident response, threat hunting, and post-incident reviews.
  • Oversee 24/7 network monitoring and managed network services, including firewalls, switches, SD-WAN, wireless, and connectivity.
  • Act as the accountable executive for major security and network incidents, including customer and executive communications and root-cause remediation.
  • Set the multi-year roadmap for SIEM, SOAR, network monitoring, observability, automation, and AI-assisted operations.
  • Manage carrier, ISP, vendor escalations, change windows, service management, and operational performance.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for key customers and partner with Product, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success on service offerings.
  • Establish metrics and dashboards covering detection and response times, uptime, SLAs, detection coverage, alert quality, customer satisfaction, and cost to serve.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in security, network, or infrastructure operations, including 7+ years in leadership and experience managing managers.
  • Experience running a 24/7 operation with 100+ employees, preferably across onshore and offshore teams.
  • Deep experience leading a SOC or NOC, with solid working knowledge of the other; a security background is preferred.
  • Experience owning operating budgets and improving cost to serve or delivery margins.
  • Proven major-incident leadership, including executive and customer communications under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, network monitoring, observability, and IT service management tools.
  • Executive presence with customers and senior leaders, with the ability to explain operational issues in business terms.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to lead global teams.
  • Experience with an MSP, MSSP, MDR, or managed network services provider is preferred.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, payments, multi-site environments, PCI DSS, converged SOC/NOC operations, offshore delivery, or AI-driven automation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, ITIL, and AWS, Azure, or GCP operations is preferred; CISSP, CISM, or ITIL certifications are welcome.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
