Description

  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine Division 8 scope requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for doors, frames, hardware, and locking systems.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations for commercial project bids.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and product information.
  • Analyze bid documents, addenda, and project revisions to update estimates accordingly.
  • Prepare and submit proposals and bid packages within required deadlines.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients on project requirements and scope clarification.
  • Maintain organized estimating records and project documentation.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
  • Ensure estimates align with company standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in construction, doors and hardware, or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of Division 8 products, including doors, frames, hardware, and access control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications.
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with commercial construction projects preferred.
