Description

  • Manage RTSL’s global benefits strategy by assessing competitiveness and equity across locations and recommending options based on benchmarking, utilization trends, culture, and budget.
  • Own the full lifecycle of benefit plan design and management, including planning, vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, communication, implementation, and annual renewals.
  • Oversee benefits administration across regions, including enrollment, billing, data flows, compliance activities, and maintenance of employee-facing benefit documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to improve service, efficiency, and employee support.
  • Manage employer-sponsored retirement plan contributions, reconciliation, and participation in the 403(b) committee.
  • Review and determine leave eligibility, entitlements, limitations, and handling for unique employee leave circumstances.
  • Advise managers and employees on leave matters and coordinate with leave vendors for STD/LTD insurance and state-mandated PFL/disability programs.
  • Serve as the strategic owner and administrator of the HRIS, including system configuration, data architecture, and permissions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain HR SOPs and workflows to ensure data integrity and cross-functional alignment with Payroll, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct audits, quality checks, and data reporting to ensure accurate pay and benefits processing, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience in benefits, payroll, and HRIS administration.
  • Experience administering benefits across different geographies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience working for a global NGO preferred.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain business and interpersonal relationships across levels and geographies.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage change and large-scale organizational communications and benefit initiatives.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, efficiency, urgency, strong attention to detail, and high organization.
  • Proficiency with HR and payroll systems and advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP and/or PHR preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and international data protection laws.
