Description

  • Maintain and improve the orchestration engine and git interface with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
  • Work on product and internal features such as reducing dependencies and improving internal telemetry.
  • Extend the testing suite and help release core platform components.
  • Collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams on container orchestration solutions.
  • Build backwards-compatible solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Optimize services for efficiency and troubleshoot deployment failures.
  • Support the modernization of the orchestration layer from Python to Go.
  • Improve automation, testing, and deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python and Go.
  • Comfort working on low-level systems.
  • Proficiency in asynchronous programming and concurrency models in Python or similar languages.
  • Strong expertise in Linux systems and internals, including process management, networking, containers, and file systems.
  • Production experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, OCI images, or LXC.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Git protocol and how repositories work.
  • Comfort debugging complex systems using traces and logs.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and LLM APIs for code review, documentation, and debugging.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss ideas, accept feedback, and share knowledge with diverse audiences.
  • Preferred: knowledge of orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Preferred: experience working in PaaS or cloud-based environments.
  • Preferred: experience with high availability architectures and fault tolerance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • All roles require background checks.
