Description

  • Manage and resolve complex end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision.
  • Provide guidance on terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, and redundancy processes while ensuring legal compliance and best practices.
  • Lead client and employee meetings for workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, negotiations, separations, settlements, and termination outcomes.
  • Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex termination cases involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate offboarding activities and audits with internal and external partners including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions.
  • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents while maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Process offboarding in the internal HRIS and work with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams to complete exits promptly.
  • Provide first-level employee relations support by assessing workplace concerns, identifying facts and relevant regulations, and coordinating next steps.
  • Monitor ongoing employee relations cases and ensure timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, product development, and customer/employee experience enhancements within the offboarding and employee relations processes.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR exposure across the employee lifecycle.
  • Proven experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.
  • Experience providing HR advice and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline approaches, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and analyze complex HR issues in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Business-level advanced proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Aptitude to innovate and optimize processes, including identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
  • Tech-savvy and able to collaborate asynchronously across various tools and evolving systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote, asynchronous international team and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law are a plus.
