Description

  • Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and contribute to cross-team initiatives for Remote’s HR and Payroll products.
  • Work closely with product partners to provide feedback, suggest solutions, and improve product direction using technical insight.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the team’s domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
  • Review code and contribute changes to the shared codebase.
  • Debug and resolve technical and business issues.
  • Participate in support rotations, hiring activities, and RFC discussions as needed.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers.
  • Investigate, propose, and implement improvements to the platform.
  • Design and implement interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind.
  • Redesign how engineering work ships using autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
  • Develop and operationalize agentic workflows end-to-end, from specification through verification.
  • Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives that can be applied across domains.
  • Use verification loops such as tests, checks, evals, and guardrails to ensure outputs are correct, secure, reliable, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic or automation workflows, or comparable systems, and improving them through iteration.
  • Ability to think in systems, including defining clear specs, breaking down plans, instrumenting verification, and closing the loop on quality.
  • Experience with Postgres or a similar database.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Experience with Elixir and Phoenix is relevant to the backend stack.
  • Experience with React and Next.js is relevant to the frontend stack.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS is preferred.
  • Experience with React, Vue, or Angular is preferred.
  • Ability to submit a CV in PDF format and complete the application in English.
