Description

  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with country-specific regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Own end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, including payroll input validation, calculations, and post-payroll processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on country payroll requirements and track legislative, tax, and regulatory changes.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of payroll services in new or expanding jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders on country payroll matters.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, operational risks, and compliance issues, escalating complex matters when needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes, workflows, and operational transparency.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and operational knowledge to support scalable, governed processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements, statutory updates, and payroll-related improvements.
  • Support adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools, and participate in testing of payroll system changes and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Mid-senior level experience in Polish payroll operations, including hands-on end-to-end payroll processing in Poland.
  • Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments or global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders in a payroll ecosystem.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to solve complex payroll scenarios.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in asynchronous, globally distributed environments.
  • Ability to take ownership, raise risks early, and work with curiosity and accountability.
  • Comfortable working in scrappy, fast-moving start-up environments.
  • Proficiency with payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms.
  • Experience in remote or globally distributed teams is an advantage.
  • Strong fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
