Description

  • Lead a modern global data privacy program across AI infrastructure, cloud, and SaaS platforms.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve a scalable privacy framework based on ISO 27701 and related international standards.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on global and regional privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, DPDP, PDPA, and APPI.
  • Oversee and maintain certification and compliance with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Conduct and oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments for high-risk products, vendors, and internal processes.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and other cross-functional teams to embed privacy controls into products and business applications.
  • Lead privacy support for external audits and represent the company in customer due diligence and security reviews.
  • Work with Legal to draft, review, and negotiate DPAs and privacy-related contract clauses.
  • Evaluate third-party processors to ensure they meet privacy and data protection requirements.
  • Establish and operate privacy incident reporting and response processes, including DSARs and right-to-be-forgotten requests across jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Information Security, Data Protection, or a related field.
  • Extensive progressive experience in data privacy, data protection, legal compliance, or a related area.
  • Multiple years of senior leadership experience managing global privacy programs, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
  • Proven experience with cross-border data transfer mechanisms and conflicting regional privacy laws.
  • Experience presenting privacy roadmaps and security posture to enterprise customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex regulations and legal requirements into clear guidance for product managers and engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk appetite versus regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with privacy, security, or compliance programs in an AI, cloud, or SaaS context is preferred.
  • Familiarity with external audits such as SOC 2 and ISO is preferred.
